Script and visual development / Anonymised adaptation

From script to visual explanation

A selected example from the Management Tools microlearning.

For the Management Tools chapter, I wrote a narration script and developed supporting visuals that introduced resources through familiar management situations. This sample adapts the script and explains the visual choices.

01 · Begin with the manager's work

Being a Sales Director means balancing coaching, planning, performance and critical deals. A practical toolkit can help structure those responsibilities and reduce the time spent starting from scratch.

Visual direction

Introduce the four familiar responsibilities, then bring them together around a toolkit. Keep the opening focused on the viewer's need.

Design decision

Establish the practical value before introducing individual resources.

02 · Explain resources through use

A mock-call coaching template helps structure practice. Call shadowing supports feedback on real interactions. An individual development plan helps a manager discuss growth and progress with a team member.

Visual direction

Show each resource beside its purpose. Use a consistent hierarchy so the viewer can scan and distinguish the examples.

Design decision

Explain when and why a tool helps, while keeping detailed instructions in the playbook.

03 · Finish with a practical next step

Choose the tool that fits the situation: planning, shaping an important opportunity or developing your team. Return to the chapter for the supporting guidance.

Visual direction

Recap the three situations and point back to the source chapter.

Design decision

Connect the video to a useful next action rather than ending with another list of resources.

From script to production

My work included scene planning, narration scripting, visual development and video production. Visual materials and reviewed scripts record that process; project records also confirm publication of the series' early chapters and submission of the final chapters.

Anonymised, condensed adaptation of my Management Tools script and visual development. The wording is paraphrased for this reading sample. Internal resource names, operating details and branding are omitted. The published video is not included.
