Visitor statistics
I use limited, cookie-free statistics to understand which portfolio pages, case studies and course samples people explore.
The collector records page views, homepage section impressions, course launches, referring website names and broad device type. It uses a daily-changing identifier derived from your IP address and browser information to estimate visits. Raw IP addresses, full browser strings and full referrer URLs are not saved in the analytics database. No tracking cookies or cross-site identifiers are used.
A visit is considered new after 30 minutes of inactivity. Returning visitors can count again on another day. A course launch does not show whether a course was completed. Known bots and browsers requesting Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded.
Statistics are retained for 90 days on the portfolio's server. An owner-only dashboard hosted through ChatGPT receives aggregated statistics; visitor identifiers are not sent to the dashboard.
